Leandro Samuel Bermudez Lafont began singing studies with  Elsa Gutierrez in the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. Later he continued his studies with the the soprano Julia Consuegra Cervera who trained him as sopranist, after this stage he received voice lessons with  Sergio Hernandez, Angela Simbaqueba, Francy Acosta and took masterclasses with Cesar Gutierrez, Kathleen Wilson, Maya Hoover, Raquel Pierotti, Carlos Godoy, Licio Bruno, Gerd Turk, Luis Alberto Llaneza, Anthony Rooley, Evelynn Tubb and Andrea Scholl. He has sung as a solist in the auditoriums of Avianca (Barranquilla), Universidad del Atlantico Conservatory, Jorgue Tadeo Lozano University, Olav Roots (Colombia National University) and Los Andes University.
He has performed for the Universidad Nacional de Colombia Early Music ensemble , Vitanuova Ensemble, Manizales Opera studio. He was selected in october 2005 to perform Renfield in the premier of the Opera-Rock DRACULA by Hector Fabio Torrez for the Manizales Opera Wokshop and selected by the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis to perform Spirit in DIDO AND ENEAS by Henry Purcell and  Disinganno in IL TEMPO DEL TEMPO E DELLA VERITA by G.F. Haendel also in 2005. From  October 2006 he studies in Schola Cantorum Basiliensis with Gerd Turk.
